Former Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Kamala Persad-Bissessar, has thrown her support behind the People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) for the much anticipated regional elections in 2020.
The T&T Opposition leader said this a few moments ago at the Guyana Manufacturing and Services Association (GMSA) annual awards and presentation dinner held at Pegasus Hotel, Guyana.
Persad-Bissessar is the featured speaker at this forum.
Much of her speech was focused on Trinidad’s experience as an oil producer with an aim to give some perspective to Guyana.
However, in her preamble, Persad-Bissessar acknowledged the presence of former President Donald Ramotar and said that she hopes either him or Opposition Chief Whip, Gail Teixeira will be the next President of Guyana.
