The New Year started on Tuesday with an abundance of pomp and fanfare. But even as many people shared kisses and proposed toasts to a successful New Year, there were others celebrating new life.
At the Dr. Balwant Singh Hospital situated at 314 East Street, Georgetown, six new bundles of joy were being swaddled soon after making their entry into the world on January 1.
Sources at the privately operated hospital revealed that while five of the deliveries were classified as normal, the sixth was done by way of caesarean section.
