A pilot lost his life earlier today after the single engine aircraft he was flying, exploded after crashing at the Eteringbang airstrip, Region Seven.
The dead pilot has been identified as Randy Liverpool of Norton Street, Lodge. Liverpool recently welcomed a baby with his new bride.
According to information received, the Domestic Airways Inc. pilot was on a shuttle flight when the accident happened. Residents in the area claimed that they noticed the aircraft was flying extremely low before it crash landed.
The Guyana Standard has been informed that the pilot was flying alone at the time.
Earlier this week, a pilot and policeman survived after the plane they were flying in ran out of fuel and crashed at Canal Number Two.
