Ever since the exposure of what is being deemed an incestuous relationship between the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA) ran by Minister Valerie Adams-Yearwood and a contractor who has been identified as the minister’s husband, Godfrey Yearwood, Guyana Standard has been receiving information, almost on a daily basis, about “just how dutty is the story.”
Guyana Standard has been reliably informed that Minister Adams-Yearwood is “authorised” to collect money from CH&PA — sometimes referred to as the Ministry of Housing — on behalf of her husband.
Multiple sources confirm that while she collects payments, “is not she alone he put to collect. The driver also collects money for him and the driver is her nephew.”
This media entity has been told that the minister orchestrated some of the deals that have been made between her husband and CH&PA.
