There is currently no arrangement in place for persons to make payments via GTT’s Mobile Money for land, housing units, or any other services offered by the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA), the authority announced today.
In a notice, the authority made it clear that there is no collaboration with GTT’s Mobile Money for such undertakings.
“It has come to our attention that members of the public were being contacted through Facebook about the possibility of purchasing lands or housing units from the agency by someone purporting to be Minister Valerie Patterson-Yearwood,” CH&PA said in the statement. Moreover, it was asserted that “The Facebook profile is fake; in fact, the Minister does not have a Facebook profile.”
The Housing Authority said it will be in contact with the police but members of the public are advised to make contact with the agency’s enforcement unit in relation to complaints on the payment for lands, housing units, or any other services being offered via the Facebook page.
