Kenkassie Lynch who was charged back in 2015 for the murder of Mocha, East Bank Demerara resident, Terrence Lanferman, is currently on trial before Justice Navindra Singh and a 12-person jury.
Lynch, 24, formerly of Lot 110 CC Eccles, East Bank Demerara pleaded not guilty to a murder indictment upon his arraignment at the High Court in Georgetown, this morning.
It is alleged that on June 01, 2015, at Lot 27 Nelson Street, Mocha, Lynch murdered Lanferman, 23, a mechanic.
According to reports, Lanferman resided at the address mentioned in the charge, and on the day in question Lynch who was armed with a gun, knocked at his door and shot him.
It was reported that Lanferman received gunshot wounds to the neck and chest and was pronounced dead on arrival at Diamond Diagnostic Centre.
The murder accused is being represented by Attorney-at-Law Adrian Thompson, while Prosecutors Tuanna Hardy, Abigail Gibbs and Teriq Mohamed are presented the State’s case.
A total of 15 witnesses are expected to testify on behalf of the prosecution. This trial is ongoing.
