Former head of the Presidential Secretariat under the People Progressive Party (PPP), Dr. Roger Luncheon, was this morning rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
Guyana Standard was able to confirm that Luncheon was taken to the hospital this morning where he is presently undergoing a number of tests. The details of his illness have not been revealed.
Back in 2014, Luncheon announced that he was diagnosed with cancer of the gastrointestinal tract. He said that he will not seek treatment and will leave his health to fate.
“My illness deteriorated…I have taken the decision to not do anything of an interventionist nature. That is what I want and this is what I am abiding by…but I don’t think you should expect the vintage Luncheon,” he had stressed.
