The police have launched an investigation after a 60 year-old security guard was discovered dead in a guard hut at his workplace on Sunday. It is suspected that the victim was murdered.
He has been identified as Keegan Boston of East Ruimveldt Housing Scheme. A wound was discovered at the back of his head.
The police in a statement said that the deceased was discovered in his security hut at Cummings Electrical on Garnett Street, Georgetown around 06:15 hrs on Sunday.
It is suspected that the elderly guard was killed sometime between 23:00 hrs on Saturday and Sunday morning.
His body is currently at Lyken Funeral Home.
