A police constable was found in an unconscious state early this morning on Mandela Avenue. A fresh wound was found at the bank of the rank’s head. The victim has been identified as constable Winston Cooper of Lot 761 East Ruimveldt. He is presently hospitalized at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.
Cooper, who is a Presidential guard, was picked up opposite the National Gymnasium by fire-fighters and taken immediately for medical attention.
