The International Decade for People of African Descent Assembly-Guyana (IDPADA-G) has launched a national Cooperative Credit Union, aimed at providing credit and financial support to individuals and businesspersons throughout the country.
According to the assembly, the union will help persons and individuals to meet development needs in Guyana.
Persons interested in joining the Credit Union are being invited to register for membership at Critchlow Labour College on Woolford Avenue and Albert Streets at 11 AM on Saturday, July 6, 2019.
The event on Saturday also recognises the United Nations International Cooperative Day. Vincent Alexander, Chairman of IDPADA-G, will address the gathering.
IDPADA-G is of the view that there is a strong need for a national Credit Union that will address the banking needs of individuals, owners of micro, small, and medium-sized businesses and those who have experienced difficulties accessing credit from established institutions.
