According to police, 38-year-old Kanand Ojha is wanted for questioning in relation to the 2015 murder of gay sex worker, Noel Luther which occurred at the junction of Carmichael and Quamina Streets, Georgetown.
Ojha’s last known address is listed as Lot 2 First Street, Meadow Bank, Georgetown.
In 2017, the wanted man’s accomplice, Andel Forde, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the same murder.
Luther, of Lot ZZ Durban Street, Wortmanville, was killed by one of two men on July 22, 2015 while plying his trade at the junction of Carmichael and Quamina Streets. He was shot once in the chest when confronted by the duo during an argument over a transaction that had already been paid for.
According to information received, a male client had earlier visited the sex worker for a paid sexual encounter but was apparently not satisfied with the service and had returned to Luther.
Dissatisfied with Luther’s response, the client left but returned less than an hour later with another man who reportedly shot Luther dead before fleeing the scene in a pickup. The two men were later identified as Kanand Ojha and Andel Forde.
