The police are investigating the murders of two men which occurred yesterday at two separate interior locations.
In one instance, 16-year-old Alberto Inima, a Venezuelan was imbibing at a shop at Tabatinga, Central Rupununi with another individual when an argument ensued. The police said that the two men left the shop and shortly after, the teen’s body was found with stab wounds in Tabatinga Creek. He was taken to Lethem Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Guyana Standard has been informed that the suspect is in custody assisting with this investigation.
Meanwhile, around 19:30 hrs yesterday, Doreian Brown was taken to the Warmadong Health Centre in Kamarang with a wound to his upper arm. He died while receiving treatment. No one has been arrested as yet.
