The man who stabbed and killed a 25-year-old labourer at Fifth Street, Alberttown late last night is now dead too.
Police have only been able to identify the deceased has “Rasta man.” He died while receiving treatment at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
Last night, around 22:00 hrs, “Rasta man” and Jermain Adrian Jeffrey of Lot 48 Pike Street, Kitty were involved in a scuffle over cigarettes.
Both men stabbed each other but Jeffrey died at the scene.
Based on information received, “Rasta man” was at a stall when Jeffrey approached and requested to purchase cigarettes.
Police said that “Rasta man” declined to sell Jeffrey and this resulted in an argument which led to the deadly scuffle.
