The police are on the hunt for a CD vendor who they say shot a young woman during a robbery at her home in Charity, Essequibo around 20:45 hrs tonight.
While the victim’s name has not been revealed as yet, the Guyana Standard was informed that three men invaded the young woman’s home where she resides with her siblings and mother and held them at gunpoint. After robbing the family which operates the Manzoor General Store in Charity, of an undisclosed amount of cash, one of the gunmen fired a shot as they were leaving which grazed the young woman’s head. She was immediately rushed to the hospital.
Up to press time, the police were still hunting for the suspect identified as a young male who sells CD in Charity.
