Police are investigating the murder of a 22-year-old Venezuelan national which occurred around 01:05 hr this morning at Grove, East Bank Demerara.
Woillian Fores of Post Office Street, Grove was stabbed to death by two men during a robbery.
Based on information received, the victim was sitting on the Western side of the Public Road when he was approached by the suspects on bicycles.
One of the suspects brandished a knife and demanded that the victim hand over his property during which a scuffle ensued and the victim was stabbed twice.
He was rushed to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre and was pronounced dead on arrival.
No arrest has been made as yet.
