The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce (GCCI) last evening launched its Business Directory 2019/2020 at Pegasus Hotel, Aura Longue.
During a simple ceremony, GCCI President Nicholas Deygoo-Boyer told those gathered that the organization continues to be extremely disappointed with the absence of a Local Content Policy even as first oil is weeks away.
However, the businessman expressed hope that that important document can be completed before oil actually starts lifting. He said that in the interim, GCCI saw it fit to bring about a who is who in Guyana so as to provide some sort of push for local businesses. Boyer said that with all that is lacking GCCI thought it best to flex is chamber muscles in producing a directory as a go o for local business development.
Last night’s event was well attended. Foreign nationals were pronounced in the gathering which also served as a forum for networking.
