With the help of the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) will launch a USD$134,000 project which aims to improve the standards of agro-processors.

Making this disclosure was GCCI President, Nicholas Deygoo-Boyer. He was at the time delivering remarks at the GCCI’s 130th Annual Awards and Gala Dinner. At that event, held at the Marriott Hotel last evening, the GCCI President explained that the CDB funded project aims to enhance the managerial, technical and operational capacity of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Guyana.

He said that training will be provided in packaging and labelling, good manufacturing practices (GMP) and hazard access critical control point (HACCP).
