The “Christmas wish” of over 40 young people to gain meaningful employment was granted today by the Ministry of Public Infrastructure (MoPI).
The Ministry made this known via a statement it released to the media.
The Ministry said, “The smiling faces of youths filled the Boardroom of the Ministry’s Fort Street, Georgetown office today as the successful applicants took the opportunity to meet and greet current employees of the Ministry.
“The group was welcomed by the Permanent Secretary of MoPI, Kenneth Jordan, who urged them all to resolve work-related matters at the office and more importantly, to work together for the development of the country.
“Minister of Public Infrastructure, David Patterson, wished the new recruits best of luck, as he advised them to prepare for long hours of work. Similar sentiments were shared by the Chief Roads and Bridges Officer, Ron Rahaman, who also welcomed the new team members.”
