A 17-year-old has been arrested after he allegedly killed a miner and buried his body in a shallow grave two Thursdays ago.
The deceased has been identified as 31-year-old Marcellus Reynolds called “Ton,” a miner of Achiwuib, South Rupununi.
Reynolds was killed two Thursdays ago at Marudi Backdam, South Rupununi and his body was found in a shallow grave three days later at Rice Creek.
It has since been exhumed and arrangements are being made for a post mortem to be done.
