President David Granger announced moments ago that Guyana is officially producing oil. He will soon issue a proclamation declaring today, December 20, as National Petroleum Day. In his brief address, the Head of State said that this day will remind Guyanese of their duty to protect the country’s patrimony and to ensure the sustainable management of its resources.
