Police tonight issued a wanted bulletin for Medellin Orlando Evans and Carlos Evans for questioning in relation to the murder of 78-year-old businessman,Tony Bisnauth which occurred on March 13 at Carriage Road, Rosignol, West Bank Berbice.
Bishnauth, 78, of Cotton Tree Village, West Coast Berbice, was shot once to the head by one of three masked men, all of whom were armed with guns.
The men, who were also masked, stormed celebrations for the elderly man’s 78th birthday, which was attended by his wife and several other family members.
Following the 23:00hrs incident, the gunmen are said to have escaped with large sum of cash, cell phones and jewellery.
Injured during the ordeal were the pensioner’s adopted son Mahendra Nagamootoo, and his neighbour Nathram Briglal, 46; they both sustained gunshot wounds.
Police said that Medellin Evans is also known as ‘Mello’. He is 42 years of age and last known to be living at Lot 61 Railway Line Rosignol, West Bank Berbice.
Meanwhile, Carlos Evans, 28, is called ‘Beast’ and is last known to be residing at Lot 12 Section ‘C’ D’Edward Village, West Bank Berbice.
