A Linden man went berserk late yesterday and hacked his ex-lover and the woman’s partner to death before escaping.
The incident occurred at the woman’s Lot 177 Prosville. Wismar, Linden home.
The victims have been identified as 48-year-old Imogene Gordon and her partner, Royston John. They sustained multiple stab wounds to their bodies and died at the scene.
The suspect has been identified as Maxwell Usher. He is on the run.
According to information received, shortly after the couple retired to bed, the suspect allegedly broke into the house and began attacking the couple with a knife. John was first attacked and killed.
Guyana Standard has been informed that by the time neighbours called the police after hearing the couple’s scream for help, the suspect had already killed the duo and escaped from the premises. The police found a kitchen knife at the crime scene.
Reports are that the woman and her ex-partner separated a few months ago after he physically assaulted her. There is currently a matter before the court.
