Deryck ‘Mad Dog’ Jaisingh, a popular drag racer, passes away
His death comes hours after the Health Minister reported that the number of cases had increased to 31.
She reported too, that one person was “critical” in the ICU. It is unclear if Jaisingh was the patient the minister referred to.
So far, eight persons have recovered from the virus.
Some 115 have been tested, with 23 in institutional isolation, 35 in institutional quarantine and 157 in home quarantine.
In a tribute to him, one of his friends posted on Facebook: “…There wasn’t much that was tougher than him….Yet coronavirus overcame him…. So let this be our final wakeup call….I beg you…stay safe…do what it takes to protect yourselves during these trying times…Let this fight be in memory of Mad Dog.”
