Guyana’s situation as of 15th June, 2020, is as follows: there are no new cases; the number of confirmed cases remains at 159 and our COVID-19 deaths at twelve (12).
To date, the total number of persons tested is 1, 959 with the number of negative cases being 1800.
Currently, ninety- nine (99) persons have recovered, forty-eight (48) active cases are in institutional isolation, two (2) patients are in the COVID ICU and twenty-two (22) persons are in institutional quarantine.
According to WHO, the global statistics are as follows: the total number of cases is 7,690, 708 with 427, 630 deaths.
In the Region of the Americas the total number of positive cases is 3, 711, 768 with 199,252 deaths.
