Police are investigating the murder of a 66-year-old pensioner whose body was found in his yard last night around 22:30 hrs.
Dead is Terrence Alstrom of Track B Kuru Kururu, Soesdyke/Linden Highway.
Enquiries disclosed that Alstrom was living alone at his farm house which is located about two miles in the Kuru kuru backdam.
However, his children would check on him frequently. According to reports, the man’s children last received a text message from him during the morning hours of Thursday, July 09, 2020.
His body was examined and a chop wound was seen behind his head, along with bruises to the upper back.
His house was checked and found undisturbed, but his cell phone was not located.
The body is presently at Lyken’s Funeral Home awaiting an autopsy.
