A 36-year-old Pork knocker was fatally stabbed by another man in the wee hours this morning at Nine Miles, Mahdia, Region Eight.
Dead is Seon Grant of Lot 36 De Kendren, West Coast Demerara (WCD).
Based on information received, the victim and his assailant were at Suzan Rum Shop located at Nine Miles consuming alcohol.
Both men left the shop at around 01:30hrs, and the accused ventured off with his brother through a trail when he was attacked by Grant.
Guyana Standard understands that Grant rode alongside the men on a motorcycle with another male when he stopped and told the suspect, “who you calling a pu$$y?”
It is alleged that the victim came off his motorcycle and chucked the suspect, which resulted in a scuffle.
During the scuffle, the suspect was allegedly armed with a long black handle knife which was used to stab Grant about his body.
Grant then fell to the ground and was picked up by passersby and rushed to the Mahdia Regional Hospital, where his condition was listed as severe.
While waiting to be air-dashed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Cooperation (GHPC), he succumbed. The suspect was arrested and is presently in custody assisting with the investigation.
