Police are hunting for four gunmen who invaded the Mima Decor located at Lot 8 Sheriff Street, Georgetown, just after 08: 15 hours this morning.
The store owner, who requested anonymity, said that about 10 minutes after the store was opened, the men stormed into the store and ordered the customers and staff to lay on the ground.
One of the men then proceeded to the cashier booth, but at the time, the cashier was not there. As such, he broke the door and took all the money that was in the cash register.
Not satisfied there, the men made their way to the office and also ordered the staff to lay on the ground and kept repeating ‘where is the money’ as he began ransacking the cupboards and drawers, after which they found more money.
Following the act, the four men escaped with an undisclosed sum of cash on motorbikes that were parked outside of the building.
The motorbikes, along with the robbers, were captured on CCTV cameras which were handed over to the police as investigation is ongoing.
