Four persons have been arrested for the murder of Pritipaul Hargobin, a police source confirmed moments ago.
Hargobin was reportedly killed by protestors at Bath Settlement, West Coast Berbice, yesterday during a confrontation.
Initial reports say that Hargobin exited his vehicle with a shotgun and discharged one round into the air before discharging three rounds towards a crowd of protestors that were about 60 meters away.
He was attacked by the crowd and beaten. He was subsequently picked up and taken to the Fort Wellington Hospital where he was pronounced dead by a Doctor on duty. Body is currently at the hospital.
The identity of the four suspects are unknown at this time.
