Officials at the Guyana Energy Agency (GEA) uncovered two vessels at the Parika stelling with reported 16,000 gallons of illegal fuel, police sources say.
One of the vessels was captained by a 56-year-old of Metem-Meer-Zorg, West Coast Demerara, while the other boat was manned by a 44-year-old from Greenwich Park. East Bank Essequibo.
Five persons are presently in custody assisting with the investigation.
