During the course of deliberations over the National Budget estimates this morning, the PPP/C Government brought out the fact that the APNU+AFC Government paid $1.2M monthly to Dr. Marlon Bristol to be the project manager in charge of environmental issues.
“They (PPP Members of Parliament) employed a device where they ask themselves questions,” said Harmon. Harmon said that the PPP is employing this tactic to “try to embarrass us.”
He noted that the revelation of Dr. Bristol’s salary has become “big news” so he is trying to clear the air.
Harmon said that the PPP/C, pre-2015, paid another person $3M to do the same job for which Dr. Bristol was being paid less than half. Harmon said that Dr. Bristol was paid less despite the fact that he is more qualified than his predecessor.
