Police are investigating a shooting incident committed on Brad De Silva, a 20-year-old Labourer of Onderneeming Sand Pitt, Essequibo Coast.
The incident occurred yesterday about 20:30hrs, by person or persons unknown, at the victim’s home.
Investigations revealed that De Silva was about to enter his yard when he heard three gunshots and he started to feel pain to his back .
The victim turned around and saw someone standing about 15 feet away wearing a dark coloured hoody and a face mask.
De Silva told police that the shooter then ran into the bushes and escaped.
No one has since been arrested as investigations continue.
