President Irfaan Ali will be meeting with former Heads of State to discuss ideas to craft developmental plans for Guyana.
“I think it will be an opportunity for us to continue to share ideas [and] generate ideas to talk about how we see Guyana’s development from our different perspectives and then to work out a model and a framework of how we engage in the future and how we have continuous contribution,” he said this afternoon.
According to the Communications Director and Press Secretary at Office of the President, Suelle Findlay-Williams, the meeting is slated for December 15.
Ali’s commitment to host the summit comes against the backdrop of his refusal to have dialogue with the main Parliamentary Opposition, the A Partnership for National Unity + Alliance for Change (APNU+AFC).
