Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Shalimar Ali Hack, has advised the Guyana Police Force (GPF) to charge a suspect with the murder of Dwane Williams, also known as “Sweetie Man.”
A file was sent to the DPP’s office, and it returned today to detectives. As a result, the suspect will pass through the court on Monday.
Guyana Standard had reported that it was believed that the man was stabbed between 21:00hrs on November 26 and 05:45 on Friday, November 27.
Reports are that Williams visited his mother at about 21:00 hrs on Thursday. He subsequently left for home but never made it.
However, at about 05:45hrs this morning, the man’s motionless body was discovered lying with a gaping wound to the throat and another to the right wrist.
The body was taken to the Linden Hospital Complex and was pronounced dead on arrival. A few days later, lawmen managed to apprehend two suspects.
