A father of four who was on his way home, lost his life after an alleged speeding motorcycle collided with him on the Cumberland East Canje Public Road on Monday.
The dead man has been identified as 60-year-old Clifton Sukhoo of Cumberland Canje. The accident occurred at about 12:45 hrs.
The dead man’s brother, Mahadeo Jattan, relayed to this publication that his brother was standing on the road when an alleged speeding motorcyclist lost control and collided with him.
Due to the impact of the accident, Sukhoo received several injuries to his body. He was picked up by his brother and was rushed to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The driver of the other motorcycle was also admitted as a patient. Investigations are ongoing.
