Guyana has confirmed 6,016 positive COVID-19 cases since the country reported its first imported case back in March of this year.
Meanwhile, statistics from the Health Ministry shows that some 5,185 persons would have recovered during that same period.
Additionally, 158 persons would have succumbed to the virus, taking the average death per month to 17.
The numbers also show 630 persons in home isolation; seven in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU); 36 in institutional isolation; and 16 in institutional quarantine.
A total of 34, 652 persons have been tested so far.
