A 51-year-old man from Uitvlugt, West Coast Demerara (WCB) was found dead yesterday in his home. The man has been identified as Hubert Henry. His body was discovered by his son, Shivnanand Henry, around 7:00hrs.
Police say that enquires disclosed that the deceased was an alcoholic, who suffered from epilepsy. It was revealed that the man “normally consumed alcohol and lay down several places including the bottom of his house.”
According to the police, the man’s son went to use the outdoor washroom, when he saw his father laying on the ground. He then placed him on a bed under the house. About 06:30hrs, he observed that his father was motionless. He then made a report at the Leonora Police Station.
The body was examined and blood stains were seen on his stomach and his right ear. The body was taken to Leonora Hospital where he was seen and examined by a doctor on duty who pronounced him dead on arrival . The body was escorted to the Ezekiel funeral Parlour and awaiting a post mortem examination.
Investigations are ongoing.
