Police are probing the death of a 2 year-old of Lower Kaituma, North West District, which occurred yesterday about 12:00hrs.
An Investigation revealed that the child who, police say suffered from epilepsy, resided with his grandparents: a 65-year-old farmer and a 60-year-old housewife.
On the date mentioned, the child was playing with his 6-year-old cousin in the yard, when he suddenly collapsed and became motionless. The child’s grandmother, who was nearby, picked him up and rushed him to the Port Kaituma hospital.
The child was seen and examined by a doctor, who pronounced him dead.
The body is presently at the Hospital’s Mortuary awaiting a post mortem examination.
