A farmer who was busted with a quantity of marijuana in a red five-gallon bucket in a minibus was sentenced to two years in prison.
28-year-old Delon Rose of Hururu Mission was hauled today before Her Worship Wanda Fortune in the Linden Magistrate’s Court.
He pleaded guilty to the charge, which stated that on January 12, 2021, at Ituni Police Station, he had 1040 grams of marijuana in his possession for the purpose of trafficking.
The court heard that Rose was a passenger in a minibus en route to Linden on the day in question. The minibus was stopped and searched in front of the Ituni Police Station, and a red five-gallon bucket was found with the drugs.
