Guyana has recorded 128 new cases of the Coronavirus Disease within 48 hours, taking the number of confirmed cases to 7,143.
Yesterday, 52 cases were recorded, followed by 76 today.
According to the Ministry, seven persons are in the COVID-19 ICU, while 34 are in institutional isolation, 604 in home isolation, and 11 in institutional quarantine.
The death toll remains at 170.
Region Four continues to lead with the highest number of cases (3,084), followed by Region One, 989; Region Ten, 569; Region Seven, 573; Region Three, 519; Region Nine, 409; Region Six, 377; Region Eight, 230; Region Two, 219; and Region Five, 174.
So far, 45,865 tests have been conducted in Guyana.
The number of deaths globally is 2,082,745.
