Twenty-six-year-old Kevin Gildharie of La Bonne Intention Housing Scheme, East Coast Demerara (ECD) was on Thursday afternoon robbed of his motorcar, cellphone, and over eight million cash.
Reports indicate at about 16:30 hrs at Mon Repos Pasture, ECD, Gildharie had parked his motor car on the road and noticed a male wearing a face mask.
Gildharie reportedly told investigators that the man then approached him and held onto him as he desperately tried to escape. But the man then pulled out a handgun and lashed him to the neck, causing injuries.
The suspect then drove off with the victim’s motor car, which had the cash, and his Samsung A20 cellular phone. Investigations are in progress.
