Princess Williams, 19, of Lot 3127 Block 3 Providence, East Bank Demerara, was today charged with extorting money from a man by threatening to report to the police that he raped her.
She was before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.
After pleading guilty to the charge she was remanded until March 1 when a probation report will be presented to the court and sentencing will be handed down.
According to the facts in the matter, she and the virtual complainant, Kenrick Thomas were involved in a sexually relationship for four months. However, on January 4, Williams went to the virtual complainant’s home and asked that they have sexual intercourse. She consented but the two had an argument which ended the relationship.
She later sent an audio message to the man where she threatened that he raped her and she is demanding that he pay $10,000,000 or she would to the police with the ‘evidence’ alleging that he raped her.
The man then made a report of the situation to the police.
