Guyana has recorded 51 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of confirmed cases since March 2020 to 8,313.
Eight persons are currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 42 in institutional isolation, 555 in home isolation, and 17 in quarantine.
The death toll stands at 189.
Region Four continues to lead with the highest number of confirmed cases (3,706), followed by Region One with 1,017.
Region Two has so far confirmed 233 cases; Region Three, 613; Region Five, 225; Region Six, 462; Seven, 758; Eight, 245; Nine, 413; and Region 10 with 641.
So far, some 55, 857 tests have been conducted.
The number of cases worldwide stands at 109,217,366, as the global death toll rises to 2,413,912.
