The Guyana Police Force is probing the suspected murder of 31-year-old taxi driver, Raoul Melville, of Lot 43 Norton Street Bagotstown, East Bank Demerara. His body was discovered by his son this morning.
Melville was last seen alive last evening.
According to the police, the man was alone at his residence with all doors to the premises secured from the inside. This morning, his son, upon checking on his father, saw the western door open and his father lying motionless on the floor in the hall area. The bedroom was ransacked. There was no sign of forced entry. He was escorted to a city hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His body is currently at the Lyken Funeral Parlour awaiting a post-mortem examination.
