Police Commander for Region Six, Senior Superintendent Jairam Ramlakhan has indicated that a raid was conducted at the New Amsterdam Prison today between 05:00hrs and 08:25hrs, by a party of policemen.
The following articles were found:
(1) one cellular phone
(2) two grams of cannabis
(3) twenty lighters
(4) pepper sauce
(5) seven improvised weapon
(6) two chargers
(7) A quantity of razor blades
The prison search was incident free.
