A 26-year old nail technician was today charged for using a computer system to expose explicit photos of her cousin and niece.
Merissa Waterman, 26, of 56 David Street Kitty was today hauled before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts to answer to two charges.
It is alleged that between January 30 and January 31, 2021, at Kitty , Waterman used a computer system to transmit data that was explicit, to humiliate Latoya Cameron, thus, causing her distress.
It was further alleged that between January 30 and January 31, 2021, at Kitty , Waterman used a computer system to transmit data that was explicit to humiliate Deon James, thus, causing her distress.
Following not guilty pleas for both charges, she was placed on $10,000 bail for each charge.
Her attorneys Mohammed Alli and Yashmini Singh told the court that Waterman is Cameron’s cousin and James’ aunt.
The matter was adjourned until May 24.
