Yesterday, a cordon and search was conducted at the home of a 23-year-old man of Graham Street, Plaisance East Coast Demerara (ECD), where a large quantity of ganja and suspected counterfeit $5000 bills were found.
Ranks unearthed thirteen transparent plastic parcels each containing a quantity of leaves, seeds and stems and seventeen suspected counterfeit five thousand dollar bills (Guyana currency).
The articles were taken to Sparendaam Police Station, where the suspected cannabis was weighed and amounted to 2075 grammes.
The suspect was placed into custody pending charges.
