A 30-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman are now in custody after a quantity of marijuana was found in their home at Ferry Street, New Amsterdam.
During a cordon and search exercise, ranks in the sub-division went to the couple’s home and searched.
They discovered a bag that contained 39 grams of cannabis. A further search was carried out at the back of the building in a room where 1,089 grams of cannabis was found concealed under a chair.
Both occupants were arrested and placed into custody. Charges are pending.
