Another person, who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), has died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 442.
The latest fatality is a 67-year-old female from Region 3 (Essequibo Islands-West Demerara) who died while receiving care at a medical facility.
Meanwhile, the country has recorded an additional 104 cases, taking the number of confirmed cases since March 2020 to 18,837.
There are 21 patients housed within the Intensive Care Unit, 108 in institutional isolation, and 1,371 in home isolation. There are no patients in institutional quarantine.
Some 16,895 have recovered to date.
