Guyana’s COVID-19 death count has increased to 449, following the deaths of a 57-year-old female and 64-year-old male from Region 4 (Demerara-Mahaica). They both died while receiving care at a medical facility in the region.
The country has also recorded an additional 48 new cases, taking the number of confirmed infections to 19,144. Eighteen persons are housed in the Intensive Care Unit, with 17,175 recoveries recorded to date.
