Ronaldo Morris, a 52-year-old chainsaw operator of Lake Mainstay, Essequibo Coast collapsed and died at Aurora Grant Backdam, on Wednesday around noon.
Guyana Standard understands that Morris went to work at the said location along with other workers, and around 12:00hrs, he complained of feeling a pain in his chest and requested some water. He started coughing and fell to the ground with slime coming out his mouth before losing consciousness.
He was picked up by the said workers, placed on a tractor, and rushed to the Suddie Public Hospital.
At about 23:40hrs he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The matter was then reported to the Suddie Police Station and the body is now at the Suddie Hospital mortuary awaiting post mortem examination.
